Transformation of Deli

After workin out in Central Cali tonite, i've been to the nearby Delifrance to have my dinner. I didnt realise it has undergone some sort of renovation (also in several Delis which owns better shop location) until i read the changes in menu n the ambience of the place. Actually the place didnt hv too much of re-decor, the most prominent is just the ill-lit environment, probably to make it going to a 'higher-end' or tryin to get rid of the image of fastfood restaurant. however, tats still the queue-n-u-order-n-get-ur-food, so nothin change for its fastfood nature... n when i checked out the menu... holy.... the prices r all up by at least $5- 10... n my favorite salmon mayo sandwich is gone! sob sob, the one which only resembles r salmon mayo w smoke salmon, in which i hv to pay like $5 more than the original one... okie but there r new menus, so i tried out the mushroom n cheese pizza... as they r not readily made, i need to wait for abt 15 min... while i waited, i just browse thro' the menu... i realised Delifrance has been tryin out a new image probably, so it comes closer to like Spaghetti House (but sure w/ much lesser choice of recipes) and separate itself from Super Sandwich, however it just sounds to me a raise in the price n a little masquerade of renovation (w the still cheesy 'french' music) n nothin at all...
so the pizza finally came, without being informed nor asked by myself, i got a pan of 8" pizza!! now i think that worths the price! but tats more like for a 2-ppl servin (at least i dun wanna get tat full after a hard workout!!!) haaa but still i managed to KO the pizza, given myself a great-lover of tat (hee but i dun feel hungry till now), the menu served some other more 'dinner-like' dish, but it comes to $60+... i wonder if anyone orders tat... as i can see, all ppl ard still ordered the original sandwiches, n obviously there's no increase in the no. of customers there, so the strategy to go finer dining in Deli doesnt sounds going quite well... probably they may need to do some more promo later...
but after the dinner, i feel soooo thirsty (as they dun serve a drink unless i hv to pay sth like $15-20 more for the drinks!! geezzz tat's rippin ppl off!!) tat i hv to go to the 7-11 to get myself a bottled water...
so tat's some new dining experience, but honestly this strategy for Deli doesnt sounds very good to me, at least i will still order those sandwiches later, n not bother to order those finer dishes again as it takes time to prepare, well Delifrance is supposed to be a sort-of fastfood shop still rite? sigh... but i'll miss my all-time-favorite salmon mayo sandwich w/ iced mocca
(too bad my mobile is low on battery, otherwise i shall get some pics of my 8" pizza)
